Coaches

17’s: Patrick Grossey: Previous Coach for Sparks 16’s for the past 3 years.  Plays on various club teams in the area as well as runs and organizes tournaments for ETC. 

16’s: Brittany Cunliffe: Avon Grove High School Coach, previously a setter for Eastern University.  She now attends West Chester University.  Has coached at Avon Grove for both the men’s and women’s teams as well as being an alumni player for Avon Grove High School

15’s: Donna Smith: Director of ETC and Immaculata University Head Coach

Donna began playing volleyball in Delaware at Christiana High School where she led her team to two state titles her junior and senior year.  She then played for the University of Delaware as a middle hitter for 4 years breaking many school records.  Donna continued playing volleyball for USVBA (now USAV) for many years and still plays today.  Donna  began her coaching career at summer camps for the University of Delaware, teaching at clinics for recreational players in Delaware and moving onto coaching at the club level.  She has coached club volleyball for the past 12 years.  Donna coached at Avon Grove High School for 5 years where she and her coaching staff have led their teams to the PIAA State Tournament 2 years in a row.  In 2007 the team was in the elite eight and in 2008 made it to the semifinal match, earning the title of third in the state of Pennsylvania.  Donna is currently head coach of Immaculata University.  She has been named Coach of the Year by the Daily Local Newspaper in 2005, 2007, and 2008.  She was also awarded Coach of the Year by her coaching peers at Avon Grove High School for the years 2007 and 2008. 

 Assistants:

Frank Imparato: Frank has been coaching at Spark’s Volleyball Club from 2004 until present.  He has also played on the Bloomsburg Men’s Volleyball Club team and continues to play in area coed leagues.

Shane McManus: Current player on men’s volleyball club at West Chester University.  Previous 16’s coach for ETC.  He has coached area high school camps and clinics the past 3 years.  Former high school men’s player.

Jay DiGiovanni: Previous setter for Drexel Men’s team.  Previous coach for 14’s DVA (Delaware Volleyball Academy)
